ACRYLIC LANDSCAPES | LEVEL 2
INSTRUCTOR: BEN BIRES
Prerequisite: at least one session of Acrylic Landscapes at Cottonwood.
Step up your game with this intermediate class that’s focused on individual attention to bring out the best painter within you. Set specific goals each week to face challenges and overcome obstacles as you refine your skills. Students are encouraged to work towards developing their own style with a potential body of work in mind. Bring to the table what you want to work on, and we’ll go from there!
MATERIALS
All supplies provided with a $30 fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Please bring a smock or wear clothes that can get messy. (Fee is reduced to *$15/**$20 for shorter sessions starred below.)

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Ben’s encouraging style of teaching provides a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a creative outlet. He’s all about bringing people together and having a good time while getting to know his students’ goals. He will push you out of your comfort zone and do whatever he can to make you a better painter. His love for the outdoors brought him and his wife to Colorado Springs in 2016, which led him to begin teaching landscape painting classes here at Cottonwood shortly after. A big fan of music, there’s always some good tunes playing in class to set the tone for a productive paint session. His loose painting style involves bold color balanced with dramatic brushstrokes that captures emotion and creates a sense of movement in his scenes.
