Welcome to intuitive abstract watercolor painting! Using watercolor and acrylic ink, along with various mark-making tools, you will learn how to create freeform works by tapping into your own intuitive process. And while we’re at it, you will learn both traditional and experimental techniques as well as color theory.

There will be a lot of play, exploration, and curiosity. There are no judgements or mistakes -- only wonderful happenstances. The goal is to produce art that is uniquely yours, discovering your own personal voice and recording it into what I call your “personal visual catalogue”.

Beginners are totally welcome. No drawing skills necessary. Come! Explore the limitless possibilities of this magical watercolor medium. Let’s discover and release the intuitive artist in you.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

I majored in arts and architecture a few decades ago, but needing to satisfy my curiosity in other fields of the arts, I returned to school and studied digital media and graphic design. I am forever an art student -- learning and improving on my skills.

I get an absolute thrill from the journey that produces a work of art, be it drawing, painting, paper crafting, pottery, digital illustrations, or photography. I love the benefits I get from exploring different media and processes in art-making, and then teaching others what I’ve learned. For me, art-making is good for brain health, emotional wellbeing, physical dexterity, and overall wellness.
